Deontay Wilder turns down three-fight offer from DAZN
Wilder to make FOX pay-per-view debut against Luis Ortiz
Heavyweight champion says he loves being a free agent
Deontay Wilder has turned down a three-fight offer from over-the-top OTT subscription service DAZN, opting to pursue a one-bout deal with FOX for his upcoming fight against Luis Ortiz.
Wilder, who is the reigning WBC heavyweight champion, is set to make his FOX pay-per-view debut on Saturday, November 23.
The 34-year-old American has been a free agent since his last fight in February, when he knocked out Dominic Breazeale in the first round.
DAZN had reportedly offered Wilder a three-fight deal worth over $100 million, but the fighter has opted to sign a one-fight deal with FOX instead.
Wilder has said that he loves being a free agent and that he is not interested in signing a long-term deal with any one promoter.
